Here is a story of one of our clients, who went on a recent trip:
Access to internet has become the basic need of everyone, on the same level as access to food and water.
Here is a story of one of our clients, who went on a recent trip:
“My name is Adam and I have recently travelled to Dubai from Spain. I have a regular contract in Spain with International connection. I didn’t expect any issues, but, just in case, i have purchased mobilitypass sim card, in case something goes wrong, as it did on previous trip (my credit expired in one day and i couldn’t make calls or recharge as I didn’t have connection anymore).
This time it happened again, I have arrived in Dubai and just couple of hours after connecting to local network with roaming data feature on, i have used up all my credit (50EUR!) and lost connection. I could not even call my provider back. I needed urgent connection, and wifi was not an option as i was in the rental car and needed google maps to work to find my way to the hotel.
Thankfully i had Mobilitypass as a backup with me. I have inserted the card (which i have prepaid 48EUR for my 9 day trip), it has connected instantly to the local network and provided me with so needed internet connection. I have activated daily bundle (100mb per day for about 2eur per day) and had seamless internet connection for the rest of my trip. Google maps and whatsapp worked with no issue, 100Mb per day was more than enough to use them. When i needed to watch videos or catch up on social networks, i used wifi in hotel or cafes. Another good thing was, that I could continue to use this card while at home and travelling to other countries, it doesnt expire as long as you reload it at least once a year. I started to use it as alternative phone number to use when registering online for various services (don’t want to share my personal number for security). I could also make international calls with ultra competitive rates like 0.09cents a minute for calls in Europe! this is a bargain and is even cheaper than my Spanish plan!
I have calculated, that with my home mobile provider my expenditure would be far in excess of 250eur… so i saved about 70%.”
